I do not live at Hughenden Independence Living, am I allowed in?

Of Course! between the hours of 9 am and 4pm the doors are automatic and will open as normal and the hair salon is to the right of the reception. After this time you will need to contact the salon who will be able to let you in. You can call them or tap on the hair salon window to get their attention. If they are with a client they may take some time so don't worry.

Is there parking?

There is plenty of parking at the entrance of the village and if this is full there are 2 overflow car parks that you can use at the side of the village. This parking is free!

What is in the village?

Well, there is plenty to keep you going, we have a beauty treatment room for massages, a small shop if you need to pick something up on the way home after your hair treatment, a café where you can enjoy a sandwich and hot food and ever a bar to get a nice chilled wine. 

How can I pay?

You will have the choice between cash or card via our portable payment device. Due to being a small business each card transaction costs the business but there is no extra charge.

Is there discount for Student or NHS?

Both, we offer the same discount for Students and NHS, please click here for Men's discount and here for Ladies discount.

How does refer a friend work?

Why do you take 20% for Colour services?

All you need to do is refer a friend to book in with us and they have to mention you when they book and turn up for their treatment. After they have turned up and had their treatment, your next appointment after this will be discounted by 10%, please note that this offer is off one appointment only but you can refer as many people you want.

Please note that if you are  Resident, Staff, Student or Blue Light card holder then your treatment has

been discounted already so can not receive this offer.

This is due to no shows, if you are booked in for 45mins to 1 hour treatment and do not cancel and then don't turn up, that time has been lost and as a small business it can make a big difference to our pay at the end of the day so we request a 20% deposit that will be taken off your treatment on the day. If you cancel or rebook with 24 hours notice then at our discretion this can be refunded.

Do you do gift vouchers?

In short, yes we will have gift vouchers so that you can treat your family to a treatment of an amount off thier treatment.

Do you have a toilet?

No, we do not have a toilet in the salon however, there is a toilet approximately 30 foot from the salon next to the Staff office. We can show you this if you need it.

What is POA?

Price on Arrival, due to many different variations the price will be set to your needs and will always be fair

Do you cut Children's hair?

Yes, prices are shown on the Ladies page and Men's page

Can children have hair treatments other than cut?

Yes, however this will be dealt with on a case to case basis, any child under the age of 16 years old will need their parent/Guardian to be present at all times and will need to sign the disclaimer for the specified treatment before this is taken place. A disclaimer will be provided on the day.

I had a patch test done before, why do I need another?

As we are a new hair salon, we require to complete this for liability purposes and make sure there is no issues for the future. You wll be given a patch test disclaimer prior to any treatment.
